Computer Club Records, open for business!

After a few months of off-and-on work, we finally launched our first official storefront! CLICK HERE to TP to the store, for a look. You might be wondering - "What the hell is in your store??" To answer, we have 3 categories of products available.

1. CCR Second Life Singles Series
-For 150L you and your avatar walk away with an mp3, digital t-shirt and poster, note from the band, digital artwork for display in-world, and lyrics. We've launched the series with singles from 4 artists:
001 - Gileah and the Ghost Train - "The Satellite"
002 - With Hatchet, Pike & Gun - "The Hands"
003 - City of Ships - "Night Vision"
004 - X-AM - "As Love Permeates the Air"

2. A few select releases from our back catalog. Right now we have about 10 up, and even 2 new releases (The Onslaught Dynamo/Coyote Throat split & the X-AM "is in love" record). Prices vary depending on the release, and all come with digital artwork for display in-world.

3. T-Shirts designed by me (Roland). The designs are fairly juvenile and fun, and are super cheap at only 25 Lindens a pop. They even come with 2 free song downloads, just for the heck of it.

As of today, I just put up a new section for freebies. Thus far, for the price of 0 Lindens, you can nab:
-a 13-track sampler of Computer Club artists present & past
-a slew of digital Computer Club T-shirts in varying colors and cuts

And soon I'll even have a section for nerdy gestures. Righteous. Now where's my pocket protector?

The Build, Day 5...Safety First

Here is Orson without his shirt on. **coughs* I mean, in his new safety gear after the Incident of Day 4. Always use protection, kids. **shifty sideways glance*

I think he also built some stuff today. Because really? I was busy watching Orson. Err. Supervising Orson. Yes. That's it.

The Build, Day 4..."I'm OK!"

There was a minor incident involving Orson, rezzing, giant stairs and smushed avis. While my attorneys and I await the Worker's Comp claim, I want it noted here that Orson distinctly called out "I'm OK!" from underneath the rubble.[note to self.."hardhat area signage...look into Union builders..."]

Here is Orson looking much more large and in charge. We haz stairs!

Where everybody knows your name (or at least just read your tag)

Yes, this post is a little late but the sentiment is the same: thank you Win for all the good times! The night it shut down, Orson and I stand where the Winchester once was and basically -- look confused. RIP, Win.

And then things got weird

Things began somewhat innocently, as usual. Isn't Kylarai adorableness?
**puts Ky in my pocket**

You would trust that faise, right? You would be wrong.

Johnny BBQ insists on singing "Under the Sea" (until I kick him).

JBBQ passes out "manbo!" maracas to everyone...and then things got weird. Like, Ky stopped waxing, for one. [insert your own joke about Ky's maracas here]

Leiche takes his watermelon very seriously.

Add Bakers, Electric, Danny, some nachos, a cow, batman and maracas..and you haz a party.

Invisible machinery

A few nights ago, I dreamt I was climbing a ladder from the ground to the sky. In my dream Roland was behind me, and when I looked back down he told me to keep going up and promised he would catch me if I fell. I climbed even higher, but froze with fear. I closed my eyes and hesitated, and when I looked down again Roland was gone. Out of nowhere, I heard a man’s voice say “It’s too late. Everything is different now.” And then I woke up.

What is Saint Clare? I was naive to think it is a refuge from anything. We created a place that connects people, not just dots on a screen. So, like in real life, people and places change and connections grow stronger or weaker and sometimes fade away altogether.

Are the stars on Saint Clare still wanted? Or should we put out every one?

Roland's Rez-Day Surprise Party

Once again, I was blindsided by a surprise celebration. This time, it was even more elaborate than my birthday! Pris organized a wonderful, forest-themed surprise party for me at The Osprey. Almost everybody was there at one point or another, it was a wonderful bash...and I was even given a special, rez-day loin cloth.

Pris, dumping her "backet of goodies" on her head playfully.

Tiny Wolf / DJ Extraordinare Ilya provided the musics for the bash, and did a wonderful job of making us shake woodland-creature tush.

I've got the best friends, ever. PRIS! Thank you for throwing such a wonderful bash. Can't thank you enough!

The Build, Day 3..holy *&^%$

Orson was in full-on-in-the-zone-Master-Builder mode this morning.

I TPd Cali in to check out the awesomeness of the build and chat with me about musics, too. Here we are standing back and looking cute while Orson works.

The Build, Day 2...I fail at being a photojournalist

I should have gotten a pic of Orson looking intense while he builds or even Roland looking admiringly at the progress when he popped in, but I was too slow on the uptake since I was busy looking at everything myself.

After the menz left, I did snap this shot to show how things are moving along. Orson is still setting things up, and he is working his pixels off.

The Build, Day 1

Good news: Orson is ready to start laying the paths and groundwork necessary for the boys' new villas! Yay!

Bad news: I am the bad guy landlord who had to boot everyone's pixel buns outta their houses NAO so Pretty Boy could start the build.

Some people vacated their temporary housing graciously (thank you Roland, sweetie!), while others (**coughs, GRAHAM) had some attitude.

Wait. The Frenchman never gave me a security deposit. Dammit.

Did you even know we haz TWO blogs? For reals.

Rage Fighting Championships?!

I was recently asked to DJ for the Rage Fighting Championships league. Because of scheduling conflicts, I won't be able to do so regularly. However, I thought it was interesting to find out how involved this group is - something like 600 fighters involved? Pretty incredible.

This is Royce Boa, who runs RFC. Working for her will probably be scary, as she could absolutely pwn me in nothing flat.

Water baby

Cajsa Lilliehook from MDR Studios took these photos of me on location in Crucible. I think she did a brilliant job.

I started out fully clothed, believe it or not. But, when we got to the location and I saw the water, I told her the pics needed to be nudes in that beautiful dark pool. Lucky for me, we both had the same idea about where the shoot should go.

Now, you gotta learn something - there are just certain things a girl cain't do.

I feel the need to brag about this before they clear the board at The Velvet (**coughs). After getting the #1 spot, I went all Coyote Ugly and victory danced on the bar.

The sad part? Jed has tried riding that bull like 876748652654 times to place. Well..he can keep trying. ;)
